My Father
My father (who my friends called a witch doctor) studied nutrition, farming, and psychology. He introduced me to many things. Not only did he teach me to play sports, chess and to drive, he taught me about nutrition, FDA, medicine, insurance, etc. He discussed with me the importance of Essential Fatty Acids thirty years ago. Now, research is proving he was right. What I learned from this is that many of the things my dad talked to me about way back then, is now being proven correct. I have to wonder what is being discovered, and covered-up that will be proven in thirty years. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago. He is fighting a good fight. He has been treated with surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation by the medical community. He also has been treating himself with nutrition, meditation, and a good attitude. His doctors are often times astonished by his improvement. Many times the doctors thought he wasn't going to make it, but he persevered. He is a great man who has taught me many things. I am grateful for him.
